The Gospel according to Hot Dogs

Today while waiting outside the Sprint store for the techs to fix my CrackBerry, I had what was probably the best hot dog I have ever tasted. For those of you that don’t know, I love hot dogs (even the pork ones that turn grey after sitting in the water for to long). But what made this hot dog so important was that it was grilled (not boiled like most hot dogs you get from a stand in downtown philly). And if that wasn’t enough, this bad boy was made by a 4ft tall, 80 plus year old lady, (ethnicity unknown). And who had to have been standing on her feet for all of an 8 hour work day (something you 70’s, 80’s and 90’s babies know nothing about)… I would tell you how she apparently decided to refrain from wearing a brazier and how her elongated bosom dangled via her blouse over the vat of cooked onions, but I digress. Super swag fail on her part! My dilemma arose when deciding whether or not I should take my chances w/ the cooked onions that had been subject to such scrutiny, or opt out for sauerkraut (decisions!!!!). I finally came to my senses and graciously allowed her to include the cooked onions atop my hot dog, along w/ ketchup and mustard, for what was a one of the most delicious culinary experiences that I will cherish for the rest of my life (Coming to America voice)! {Hot Dog stand located on corner of 17th & Walnut St}. Brought to you by the beautiful ppl of Life & Co.
